On Friday, January 31, 2014, the family of Dr. John Thomas Hammack visited Salem Academy and College to see the new home of an extensive music collection, generously donated to the School of Music. The collection, given by the family after Dr.

Head of School Karl Sjolund received the following email from recent graduate Corinne Stokes. Corinne graduated in May 2013 and is a freshman at the University of South Carolina with her Academy classmate Rachel Williams. Together, they impress the USC community with their college preparedness.

Salem Academy will welcome over 175 education consultants, boarding school administrators, and educators from around the country to campus this week as we host the annual Small Boarding School Association (SBSA) Conference. 

On Wednesday, March 19, Salem Academy celebrated Women’s History Month with a special event, focused on women in male-dominated careers.
